University of Houston Prepares to Ditch NFL, Embrace Columbia Blue

The University of Houston has decided to defy the NFL and the Tennessee Titans by reverting to an alternate Columbia Blue color scheme, despite being advised against it last year. Athletic director Chris Pezman announced this decision to the media after reviewing all aspects of the situation.

Houston has informed the NFL of their intention to use the alternate color scheme, but there has been no response from the league yet. Pezman stated that they are giving the NFL a few weeks to respond before moving forward with their plans. The university believes that they have a solid reasoning behind their decision and are prepared to defend their position.

According to Pezman, there is evidence showing that the city uses the alternate color scheme, making their decision justifiable. Additionally, Houston’s close proximity to the Texans, who recently introduced a uniform with a similar color, supports their case. It is unlikely that anyone would have intellectual property rights over a color, and it would not reflect well on the NFL if they were to take legal action against the University of Houston over this matter.
