TikTok has recently released a new photo and text mobile app called TikTok Notes. This app is currently in the experimental stage and is available for download in Australia and Canada. As a photography application, it allows users to share photo posts from their TikTok account as well as new image posts.
According to social media analyst Matt Navarra, the app is designed for those who want to share and interact with others through photographic content. With two feeds of content, similar to the original TikTok app, including ‘For you’ and ‘Following’, users can share individual images or create carousels of multiple photos, which will be displayed in a Pinterest-style format with two columns.
It is yet to be confirmed whether TikTok Notes will be introduced to more regions after the initial testing phase or when this expansion might occur. Users are encouraged to try out the app and provide feedback as TikTok continues to develop and improve the platform.
