Tinder introduces Share My Date feature to enhance safety in dating

Tinder, the widely popular dating app, is set to launch a new feature called “Share My Date” that will enable users to share their date details with friends and family. This feature has been introduced in response to the growing trend of young people under 30 sharing aspects of their dates with their close ones. According to an internal survey, an astonishing 18% of users even share their date information with their mothers.

Melissa Hobley, Tinder’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that “Share My Date” was designed to enhance the dating experience by making it more enjoyable, secure, and respectful for all users. By streamlining the process of sharing date plans, users can focus on the fun aspects of getting ready for a date, such as choosing an outfit and preparing conversation topics.

With “Share My Date,” users can easily share details such as location, date, time, and a photo of their date through a simple link. Users have complete control over who they share this information with and can schedule an unlimited number of dates up to 30 days in advance. Additionally, users can update details if there are any last-minute changes. The feature will be rolled out in various countries worldwide in the coming months, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India and more.
