Previous Yard Birds Business Owners Experience Store Area Vandalized and Trailer Theft

BnT’s American Treasures, a family business that had been at Yard Birds shopping center for 14 years, suffered a break-in over the weekend. The owners, Blake and Cory McDrummond, reported that their trailer was stolen, which they used for various purposes related to their estate and retail store cleaning business. The theft occurred when someone physically unbolted the gate of BnT’s and took it off its hinges, allowing access to the area where the trailer was kept. The trailer was described as a 14-foot dual axle with side racks and metal stakes.

Although the giveaway at Yard Birds was initiated by the owner, Darris McDaniel, to clear out the building for potential sale, he did not allow anyone inside due to liability concerns. Instead, items from the mall are being placed outside along the walls of the structure. Some of the items in BnT’s were personal belongings of the McDrummonds that they had not yet removed after the mall’s closure in 2022.

The former tenants of Yard Birds shopping center are facing losses as they struggle to clear out their belongings amidst ongoing renovations and potential sales. A police report has been filed for the stolen trailer, and a reward is being offered for any information leading to its recovery.
