Owner of UnBar Cafe wins $20K prize at JumpStart’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase

Cleveland’s Larchmere neighborhood will soon have a new addition, as UnBar Cafe prepares to open its doors. The cafe’s owner, Melissa Garrett, has recently won the $20,000 top prize at JumpStart Inc.’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase. The event took place at Cleveland’s House of Blues and celebrated the 20th cohort of JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program.

The program is a 12-week accelerator that provides entrepreneurs with personalized advice and business training. The showcase featured a pitch competition emceed by Josh and Maria Cribbs and presented by the Cleveland Browns. Josh Cribbs, a former wide receiver for the Browns, along with his wife Maria Cribbs, host a local television talk show.
