Uncertainty Leads to Unity: Graduation Ceremonies for Oshkosh High Schools at UW Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center

The graduation ceremonies for both Oshkosh North and West high schools will take place at the UW Oshkosh Kolf Sports Center on May 25th. Oshkosh West’s ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., followed by Oshkosh North’s ceremony at 4 p.m. Despite the change in location, the dates and times of the ceremonies remain the same.

The decision to move the ceremonies to the Kolf Sports Center was made due to uncertainty surrounding the Oshkosh Arena, which was recently sold earlier this year. There were concerns about its future, and moving to a different venue was deemed necessary to ensure that the graduation ceremonies proceeded smoothly as planned.

Oshkosh Area School District Superintendent Bryan Davis expressed gratitude to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for their partnership and support in hosting the ceremonies. The goal is to provide graduates with a memorable celebration, and relocating to the Kolf Sports Center allows for this to happen seamlessly as scheduled.

The move to the Kolf Sports Center has also sparked optimism among UWO Chancellor and faculty members about working together after a no-confidence vote earlier this year. This positive outlook bodes well for future collaboration between UWO and OASD, ensuring that more events like these can be held successfully in years to come.
