72-year-old man taken into custody for threatening to carry out shooting at Willmar business, according to authorities

A 72-year-old man from Danube, located around 25 miles south of Willmar, was arrested by police after allegedly threatening to open fire inside a business on South First Street. The man had previously visited the business and threatened to return with a gun, according to a 911 call made just after 2 p.m.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, and employees of the business were evacuated after the call was made. The man was taken into custody at the Kandiyohi County Jail, but as of now, he has not been charged with any crime.
