After careful assessment and discussions with World Athletics and the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships Local Organizing Committee (LOC), USA Track & Field has received confirmation of adequate safety measures that will be implemented at the event. As a result, the organization has decided to send a team to represent Team USA at the Championships, which will take place from August 26-31, 2024, in Lima, Peru.
The safety and well-being of USATF athletes, coaches, managers, and staff remain the organization’s top priority. The organization is committed to offering its athletes the best competitive opportunities as they strive for success. To ensure everyone’s safety, USATF will maintain close communication with all relevant stakeholders.
The full team announcement will be made following the USATF Under-20 Championships, scheduled for June 12-13, 2024, in Eugene, Oregon.
