The Catholic Charities Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic in Manassas and Woodbridge has received a donation of $10,000 from UVA Health to honor National Doctors’ Day. The clinic provides quality healthcare services to the uninsured and underinsured in Prince William County. It offers a range of services including annual physicals, disease management, prenatal care, health and wellness classes, eye exams, and more. All doctors and nurses who work at the clinic volunteer their time to provide free medical care. Additionally, the clinic offers integrated services like counseling, emergency food assistance, and workforce development.
The donation was made by Erik Shannon, Chief Operating Officer of Community Health at UVA Health to express gratitude for the dedicated physicians who serve patients in Prince William and surrounding areas. The clinic is grateful for UVA Health’s ongoing support and generosity towards its mission of providing quality healthcare to the community of Prince William County.
UVA Health has donated a total of $50,000 across its service area from Charlottesville to Northern Virginia and Culpeper in honor of National Doctors’ Day to various partners who are committed to improving the health outcomes of their communities.
