Verbatim Theatre Perform Documenting Teenage Ukrainian Refugee Practical experience to Make Globe Premiere Off-Broadway
New York Theatre Workshop will host Are We There But? by way of Teens Ukraine Theater.
Teens Ukraine Theater’s Are We There But?, a verbatim theatre piece documenting the experiences of teenaged Ukrainian refugees, will play Off-Broadway’s New York Theatre Workshop. Performances are scheduled for March 25 at 7:30 PM and March 26 at 1 PM and six PM.
The functionality piece tells the stories of Ukrainian teens involving the ages of 12 and 17 who have produced their way to New York City from Ukraine given that Russia invaded their property nation a year ago. They shared their individual stories via verbatim and educational theatre workshops which serve as the basis for Are We There But?. The multidisciplinary production explores their stories of displacement and the underlying query it has produced: Where is property?
