An Archeopteryx fossil, a rare bird that dates back more than 150 million years, has been acquired by a US museum and is now on display to the public. The fossil was discovered in Germany in 1990 before making its way to the museum in August 2022. Jingmai O’Connor, a paleontologist who works as a curator at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois, describes Archeopteryx as one of the most important fossils of all time.
