Free Health Screenings Offered at Black Wellness Family Expo in Arizona

In the United States, the American Cancer Society has reported that the Black community has the highest death rate and shortest survival for most types of cancer. To address this issue, the Phoenix chapter of The Links, Incorporated is hosting the Black Wellness Family Expo. The expo aims to educate people about their diagnosis and promote awareness of various health conditions, including breast and prostate cancer, kidney disease, and heart health.

The event will take place at South Mountain Community College, near 24th Street and Baseline Road, and will include free health screenings, mammograms, car seat safety checks, access to health care information and services. Additionally, a free lunch will be provided for participants. Registration is available at blackfamilywellnessexpo.org.
