Air Force rising star Kellan Boylan transfers from Falcons to Lipscomb | Sports

Kellan Boylan, a sophomore starter for Air Force’s 2023-24 roster, has transferred to Lipscomb University. Boylan played in 30 games last season and averaged 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. His standout performance came against Wyoming, where he scored 32 points on nine 3-pointers. Boylan reached double figures in eight games, three times in Mountain West play.

Lipscomb, based in Nashville, Tenn., is part of the Atlantic Sun Conference and made its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. The Bisons finished with a record of 20-12 in the 2023-24 season. This transfer comes shortly after another sophomore Rytis Petraitis announced his commitment to California. Petraitis led Air Force in various statistical categories during the 2023-24 season.

Air Force’s cadet athletes are eligible to transfer until the start of their junior years as per Academy rules, and Boylan and Petraitis are the only two Falcons who have entered the transfer portal so far. The Falcons’ 2023-
