Blizzard Cancels BlizzCon 2024, Promising Return in Future Editions

Blizzard has announced the cancellation of its BlizzCon 2024 conference for the gaming community. Despite this, the company will be hosting several global events to celebrate Warcraft’s 30th anniversary and will participate in other industry conventions such as Gamescom. They have reassured fans that they plan to bring back BlizzCon in future years.

Blizzard mentioned that these events may be different from BlizzCon but they will still have the same spirit of celebration and community. They will continue to provide live broadcasts about news from their universes. In 2021, BlizzCon was held in person again in Anaheim, California, after four years of being held in a digital format. Players were able to play their favorite titles and learn about new features for games like Diablo IV, Overwatch, and Warcraft Rumble.

The company also shared that they will release more details about their upcoming video games, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and the first expansion of Diablo IV, Vessel of Hatred. While BlizzCon is canceled, Blizzard will be participating in other industry events and conventions throughout 2024 to celebrate Warcraft’s anniversary.
