FJH Technology Boosts Metal Recovery in MTM Operations

Mt Monger Resources Ltd. (AU:MTM) has released an update regarding its subsidiary, MTM Critical Metals Ltd. The company announced that their Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype has shown significant improvement in the recovery of rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash. Recovery rates have increased by up to 514% compared to traditional acid leach methods.

The FJH prototype has been scaled up 50 times from the initial proof of concept, and the advancement aims to reduce acid use and waste in the leaching process. This sustainable technology is expected to be economically viable as the company plans to expand testing to other metal-rich waste sources.
