Locals Shut Down Kirants-Ijeva and Baghanis-Noyemberyan Segments

Residents of the Kirants-Ijeva and Baghanis-Noyemberyan sections closed their communities today, following the border demarcation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to Narek Sahakyan, a Baghanis resident, “Azatutyan” was cut off from the golden dance as official statements today contradicted Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s words two days ago in their village. The residents are likely to gather in the village tomorrow to decide what steps to take next.

During the meeting of the delimitation commissions, Yerevan and Baku have tentatively agreed on separate parts of the border line. This agreement aims at aligning the border with the legally justified inter-republic border that existed at the time of the collapse of the USSR.
