In the third period, Cole Beaudoin and Tij Iginla also contributed goals as Canada rallied from an early 3-1 deficit. Ryder Ritchie added a goal in the second period, while goalie Carter George made 31 saves to secure the win. On the U.S. side, Cole Hutson had a goal and two assists, but penalties proved costly as the Americans racked up 31 penalty minutes compared to Canada’s eight.
In the bronze medal game, Sweden defeated Slovakia 4-0 behind goaltender Love Harenstam’s 36-save shutout. Lucas Pettersson broke the scoreless tie in the third period with goals from Melvin Fernstrom, Alfons Freij, and Victor Eklund sealing victory for Sweden. Alan Lendak made 25 saves for Slovakia in the losing effort.
