Small Business Showcase Honors Main Street Contributions
In honor of National Small Business Week, the House Committee on Small Business and Chairman Rep. Roger Williams recently hosted a Small Business Showcase. The event brought together 15 small businesses from across the country to recognize the contributions of Main Street businesses.
During the showcase held in the U.S. Capitol Building, Nick Davis and Jason Duff from Small Nation shared insights about their work in revitalizing small towns. They highlighted projects like Six Hundred Downtown Pizzeria, Brewfontaine craft beer bar, and the Historic Opera Block project in Downtown Bellefontaine.
Karen Kerrigan from the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council also attended the event and commended the entrepreneurial spirit of businesses like Small Nation. She expressed her appreciation for their advocacy efforts that help create thriving communities.
The event was well received by important figures like House Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Whip Tom Emmer who recognized the significant role of small businesses in economic growth. Duff expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate Small Business Week on Capitol Hill and emphasized the importance of advocacy for Main Street businesses.
