Victoria Hernandez, WFMS Science Teacher, announced as finalist in Teacher Appreciation Week Contest by TFCU

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, Teachers Federal Credit Union is proud to host its 4th Annual Teacher Appreciation Week Contest. Ms. Hernandez, a sixth-grade general education and ENL science teacher at William Floyd Middle School, has been selected as one of the top six middle school level finalists out of 1,500 candidates.

Ms. Hernandez embodies the highest standards of teaching excellence and leadership in the state. She serves as the driving force behind the school’s Science Fiction Club, providing students with not only an outlet for their love of the genre but also fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of community among its members. Additionally, Ms. Hernandez actively engages in professional development opportunities, constantly seeking ways to enhance her teaching methods, stay updated on educational trends, and collaborate with fellow educators to refine her craft.
