Mid-America Science Museum hosting exhibition featuring superheroes

The new traveling exhibit, Hall of Heroes, will open to the public at Mid-America Science Museum on Saturday, May 25th. Located in the museum’s Hall of Wonder, the exhibit delves into the history and science of superheroes. Visitors can expect interactive programming, movie props, replicas, and rare artifacts from major motion pictures and television shows, both past and present.

Diane LaFollette, CEO of Mid-America Science Museum, expressed excitement about the exhibit stating, “This is a unique opportunity for visitors to discover the hero within themselves and to explore the timeless ideals of courage, resilience, and selflessness. It offers a fascinating exploration of the history and evolution of heroes in popular culture, making it a fun and educational adventure for superhero fans of all ages.”

The exhibit features a full-scale “half” replica of the iconic 1960’s Barris Kustoms’ Batmobile. Additionally, guests can visit the “Identification Station” to choose one of five superpower disciplines: “Powers of the Body,” “Powers of the Mind,” “Mastery,” “Gadgets,” and the “Elements.” Interactive stations throughout the exhibit allow visitors to explore, learn, and test their skills based on their chosen discipline.

The Hall of Heroes will run until Saturday, August 27th. Admission prices are $12 for adults
