Local News: Pedestrian shot while walking on Eastgate Circle now receiving treatment in hospital

The Chattanooga Police Department has updated the public on the shooting incident that occurred on Eastgate Circle. According to their statement, the shooting was a targeted attack and the victim, who is 27 years old, is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The CPD’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting and is asking anyone with information to contact them at 423-698-2525.

In a previous report, it was revealed that the victim was entering a business on Eastgate Circle at approximately 10:00am on Friday when one or more suspects began shooting. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.

Furthermore, CPD has confirmed that the shooting took place at the 900 block of Eastgate Circle. The victim has been hospitalized, but their current condition remains unknown. This is an ongoing story, and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
