Davis Baker joins WSFA as new sports reporter

WSFA 12 News is excited to announce the addition of a new sports reporter, Davis Baker, to their team. Originally from Georgia, Baker graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism before moving to Texas to serve as the sports director for KTEN in Denison for two years. During his time at KTEN, he was the weeknight sports anchor and covered local and regional sports news in north Texas and southeast Oklahoma.

In addition to his role as an anchor, Baker produced and hosted feature shows and football previews. He has a passion for SEC sports and is eager to highlight high school, college, and professional athletes in Alabama.

Baker expressed his excitement about joining the WSFA team and working alongside Rosie Langello, who serves as WSFA’s sports director. Langello shared her enthusiasm about the new partnership, noting that Baker’s reputation in the industry as a hard worker with a positive attitude made him a standout candidate. She is confident that Baker will be a valuable asset, especially with his experience as a former sports director. Langello is looking forward to Baker’s involvement in the community and his dedication to covering sports teams in the area.
