In 2024, Electrolux opens a dedicated space for promoting environmental awareness at Fuorisalone

During the 2024 Fuorisalone event, Electrolux Group unveiled the Electrolux EcoLine Hub, a revolutionary space designed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living. This innovative hub is open to the public from April 16 to 21 during the Salone del Mobile, located at the heart of the Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano (BAM), the green hub of Portanuova. This neighborhood is recognized for its double sustainability certification, making it the first in the world to earn this distinction.

The goal of the Electrolux EcoLine Hub is to raise awareness about the importance of sustainability and showcase how individuals can make a difference for the planet through everyday actions and conscious choices within their homes. The space serves as a catalyst for change, inviting visitors to explore innovative solutions for a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.

The installation of the Electrolux EcoLine Hub features a captivating design that blends into the surrounding environment with mirrored walls that attract passersby. Inside, visitors will find an immersive and educational experience that reflects Electrolux’s values and spirit through every detail.

The hub is divided into two main themed areas: Taste and Care. The Taste area showcases appliances like the 800 Steamboost steam oven and the 700 GreenZone fridge-freezer designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The Care area focuses on clothing care by highlighting innovations in washing machines and dryers that optimize water and energy consumption.

In addition to showcasing products, the Electrolux EcoLine Hub is committed to spreading sustainability culture through various means. Visitors can use AWorld application which helps them calculate and reduce their carbon footprint through gamification. There is also a collection point for small electronic waste (WEEE) in collaboration with Erion WEEE. Furthermore, screens will show “Materia Viva,” a docufilm exploring circular economy and recycling to inspire daily actions in favor of the environment.

Overall, Electrolux has created an inspiring space that encourages visitors to take action towards sustainability by providing practical solutions for eco-friendly living.
