In the latest episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Emma Corrin, a British actress who has won Critics Choice and Golden Globe awards, as well as SAG and Emmy Award nominations, talks about their career-defining role as Princess Diana in season four of Netflix’s The Crown. The podcast was recorded in front of a group of film students at Chapman University.
Corrin spoke about their personal journey of identity and also discussed their Emmy-buzzed performance in the FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World. In this series created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, Corrin plays a character named Darby Hart in two different time periods six years apart. In the first period, she is an amateur detective investigating cold-case murders with her then-boyfriend Bill. In the second period, she is an acclaimed author, invited to a billionaire’s retreat where Bill, who she hasn’t seen in six years and is now a famous artist, is found dead. This presents her with a personal mystery to solve.
Apart from that, Corrin has also appeared in several films such as My Policeman and Lady Chatterley’s Lover. She will soon be seen in Deadpool & Wolverine and Nosferatu.
