The match on Wednesday raised €57,500 for a hospital foundation chaired by Brigitte Macron’s wife. Organized by the Varieties Club of France (VCF), the game was successful in raising funds for good causes and featured star names like former France coach Laurent Blanc.
The VCF has been organizing benefit matches since its inception in 1971 and attracts renowned players to participate. Macron wore number three on his jersey and played alongside Christian Karembeu during the game. Brigitte Macron’s hospital foundation focuses on raising funds for children and teenagers undergoing hospital treatment.
