The Arizona Science Center is excited to announce the launch of its new series for adults called Spotlight on Science. This series will feature experts in various fields of science for an evening of discussion and education on topics that have a significant impact on society.
The first event in this new series will take place at the Science Center located downtown at 600 E. Washington St on Tuesday, May 14 starting at 7 p.m. Guests can expect to hear from Nicholas Ashton, PH. D, an expert in Alzheimer’s disease as he delves into the possibility of using a blood test to detect the disease.
Ashton, the Banner Research Biomarker Program senior director, will share his work as a leader in the development, validation, and application of fluid biomarkers, including cerebrospinal fluid and blood tests, in the battle against Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
