The Kandiyohi County Board meeting on May 7 in Willmar is set to include a range of important items on its agenda. Among the highlights will be proclamations for Mental Health Month and Foster Care Appreciation Month, along with Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day and Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. These proclamations will recognize the important work being done in these areas and help raise awareness about the need for continued support and resources.
In addition to these proclamations, presentations on mental health services and foster care in the county will be provided by Kandiyohi County’s Health and Human Services, as well as Woodland Centers and the United Community Action Partnership Parent Support Outreach Program. These presentations will provide valuable insights into the challenges faced by individuals and families in these areas, as well as the resources available to help them.
Other agenda items for the meeting include discussion and approval of the 2024 Community Crime Intervention and Prevention Grant contract, bid award for reconstruction of County Road 7, and bid award for 2024 bituminous surfacing projects including overlays of County Roads 23 and 5. These items are all important for ensuring that Kandiyohi County continues to invest in infrastructure and public safety initiatives.
