Forensic Scientist Alyshia Meyers recently spoke at the Portage Public Library for an event called “All About Forensics Science”. The program, which is part of the Library’s Community STEM Cafe, was made possible by a mini grant from the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8. The event attracted a handful of families and individuals who were eager to learn more about this exciting field.
During her speech, Meyers emphasized the importance of sparking interest in science at an early age. She believed that by doing so, it sets children up for success in their future careers. With seven years of experience in forensics, Meyers shared her passion and knowledge with the audience, providing them with valuable insights into this fascinating field.
