Marcus Moore, a man from Arnold, Maryland, is revolutionizing people’s perceptions of what autistic individuals can accomplish with his pretzel business, Moore Crunch. In just under a year, he has grown his enterprise from mixing pretzels in a bowl to operating in a commercial kitchen and introducing new flavors like sour cream and onion.
Moore’s pretzels are now being sold in various stores including Fishpaws Marketplace, Eddies of Roland Park, Geresbeck’s Food Market, Graul’s Market, and Green Valley Marketplace. They are also available at locations such as The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sinai Hospital, the National Aquarium, and Camden Yards. Currently, Moore is on a “Crunch Crew Tour” where he visits stores that sell his pretzels to meet new people and share his inspiring story of empowerment.
During Autism Acceptance Month in April, Moore is focused on showcasing that anything is possible for individuals with autism. He encourages others to break free from limitations and believe in their ability to achieve their goals. Moore is also raising funds to expand his business further, hoping to obtain a larger commercial kitchen and hire more staff. Additionally, he aims to give back to children with autism by demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
Moore’s success story serves as an inspiration for others with autism and highlights the importance of embracing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of life. Through his hard work and dedication, Marcus Moore has shown that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams.
