Maximillian Hines, Alex Brounstein, and Johnny Farrow are the team behind Floridaman, a Gulf Coast-themed sports and dive bar set to open next month on the second floor of Breaker Breaker along the Eastside Beltline. Inspired by a popular meme persona often used in news headlines, the bar’s name is sure to draw attention.
The atmosphere of Floridaman will have a tropical feel, with patterned lounge furniture, artwork, lighting installations, and tropical plants. Seating will overlook the Beltline, giving customers a unique view. The drink menu is still being developed, but Floridaman promises two potent frozen cocktails on tap, along with a beer and wine list and a selection of canned cocktails.
