Small Bake Shop Owners Expanding with New Breakfast Restaurant

Little Bake Shop owners are excited to announce the opening of a new breakfast and coffee restaurant in the West Valley. The new establishment, located at 6801 W. Tieton Drive, across from Roots Nursery, will offer customers more room and menu options to enjoy.

The journey of Little Bake Shop began in 2011 with co-owners Adrienne Engelhart and Jill Johnson selling freshly baked goods made from the fruit grown by Johnson’s husband, Eric, at their original location at Johnson Orchards on Summitview Avenue in Yakima. In 2021, Jill stepped away from the business, prompting Andy Buck, who was previously the manager of Johnson Orchards, to become a co-owner. The new business venture emerged from a collaboration with Brianne Plath, owner of a historic home located at 68th Avenue and Tieton Drive. Plath saw the potential for a coffee shop at the location and worked with Little Bake Shop to develop it into a full-fledged restaurant.

The new coffee shop will feature a rotating menu that includes various breakfast sandwiches, quiches, savory scones, and different Danishes. There are plans to introduce a lunch menu in the future to expand the range of offerings even further. Despite expanding its operations to include breakfast and coffee services at its new location, Little Bake Shop will continue to offer its current menu of pies, cookies, and pastries at its original location at Johnson Orchards. The store currently operates Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but is open seven days a week at its new location starting June 1st..

Renovations are underway at the new location with work being done on everything from plumbing and electrical work to painting and drywalling . A brand new parking lot has already been completed which will make it easy for customers to park their cars when they visit this exciting new spot in town!
