Improving Global Health through Foreign Policy

Experts from around the world will gather at the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva to discuss the challenges that hinder access to diagnostics in low- and middle-income countries. These challenges include fragmented supply chains and market barriers, which are exacerbated by threats like HIV, tuberculosis, and antimicrobial resistance. To address these issues, accurate and rapid diagnostic tests are essential for effective treatment and care.

One way that many countries have tried to improve healthcare delivery is through diagnostic network optimization (DNO) processes. However, much of the data collected during these processes is not fully utilized, hindering their effectiveness. On May 30th, Foreign Policy and Cepheid will host an event to discuss how to unlock insights from DNO processes to enhance pathogen detection, strengthen global health systems, achieve universal health coverage, and combat antimicrobial resistance.

During the event, attendees will explore solutions for improving diagnostics and advancing global health initiatives. The event will take place on May 30th, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation!
