Harriet Torry, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, has been assigned to cover the Western U.S. economy for the publication. She will be stationed in Houston, Texas. Previously, Torry focused on covering consumers in the U.S. economy from the Washington, D.C. bureau, where she also covered the Federal Reserve. With 14 years of experience at the Journal, Torry previously worked at Deutsche Welle before joining the publication.
Chris Roush served as the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He held the Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism title at UNC-Chapel Hill before his role at Quinnipiac. Roush has a background in business journalism having worked for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune, and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
