Ernst Recognizes Small Business of the Week, …

In a recent announcement, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) has named Hawkeye Molding of Story County as her Small Business of the Week. Throughout this Congress, Ernst is highlighting a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties.

Established in 1979 in Albia by Bob Russell and Mike Lawrence, Hawkeye Molding has since become a leader in plastic injection product manufacturing. The business now serves various industries such as agriculture and furniture manufacturing, and is currently owned by Ryan Gruhn and Lana Leander. Under their leadership, Hawkeye Molding is headquartered in Roland and has received recognition for its economic contributions to the community, including awards from the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Iowa Farm Bureau.

To celebrate their third business anniversary this year, Ryan and Lana have continued to dedicate themselves to keeping jobs in Iowa. This commitment has not gone unnoticed by Ranking Member Ernst, who plans to continue honoring small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
