Inspiring the Future: Future Innovators Science Fair for the Next Generation of Scientists

In honor of International Women’s Month, McGill’s Chemistry Outreach Group participated in the Real Ventures Future Innovators Science Fair at the Royal Charles Elementary School on March 21st, 2024. Along with other STEM experts and educators, they came together to inspire students and encourage them to pursue careers in science.

Paty Garcia, a member of the group, reflected on how her own educational journey influenced her perception of women in STEM fields. She was motivated to pursue a career in science as a result of this experience. Through collaborations like this one, Real Ventures aims to increase diversity in STEM and empower young minds from all backgrounds to see themselves as future leaders in the field of science.

The Chemistry Outreach group engaged students with a series of captivating experiments that sparked curiosity and excitement among the young minds. By providing opportunities for hands-on learning, the program aims to make a lasting impact on the next generation of innovators.
