On Friday, the Helsinki Stock Exchange opened with a decline. After about half an hour of trading, the stock exchange’s general index was down 0.6 percent at 9839.19 points. The most traded stock of the morning was the bank Nordea, whose share was down 1.2 percent at 10.61 euros. From the list of the twelve most traded stocks, most were in a downward direction.
In response to false and misleading claims made in the media about its operations in Russia, logistics company Nurminen Logistics published a press release on Friday, denying these accusations and highlighting that they were incorrect and misleading. The company pointed out that it is not transporting nickel or fertilizers from Russia to Finland despite the sanctions imposed by Finland on Russian companies due to their involvement in cyber attacks on Finnish media organizations and government agencies.
The investment company Reka Industrial was one of the few stocks that saw a rise in its share price, up 1.9 percent at 8.68 euros in the morning session. Asset manager Talkative also experienced a similar increase, while In this fuel company also saw a rise of 1.9 percent in its shares by midday. However, steel company Outokumpu saw a significant decrease of 5.7 percent in its share price to 4.01 euros after news broke out earlier this week that it would be cutting more jobs due to sluggish demand for stainless steel products globally which has impacted many other companies as well such as Konecranes and Morning who also experienced decreases in their stock prices
