Student Seating Options Expanded to Include Sections 104 & 105 at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center

USD students will have improved seating options in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center starting in the 2024-25 academic year. This change aims to provide students with better views and more comfortable seating based on their feedback. Sections 104 and 105 will now be reserved exclusively for students, while sections 102 and 103 will remain traditional bleacher seats.

President of Coyote Crazies, Elizabeth Wiggins, expressed excitement about the new student section, emphasizing the positive impact it will have on the game day experience. She believes that this will allow students to come together not only with each other but also with the community.

Sam Anderson, USD student and Vice President of Campus Activities Board, highlighted the importance of the new location in providing students from diverse backgrounds a better view of the game and overall Coyote athletics. He also mentioned that this change will create new opportunities for students to engage with the game in different ways.

Athletic Director Jon Schemmel stressed the significance of student engagement and the priority given to student feedback in improving seating options. The goal is to enhance the campus experience and game day atmosphere by providing a more interactive experience for students at sports events.
