Pope Urges Praying the Rosary for Intercession of Our Lady in World Wars

During his General Audience in the Vatican, Pope Francis emphasized the importance of praying the Rosary and entrusted to Mary the wars and conflicts occurring in various parts of the world. He specifically mentioned Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, and Myanmar as areas where Mary’s intercession is especially needed.

The Church raises prayers of supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary on May 8th, which is celebrated as Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii. On this day, we rediscover the value of praying the Rosary and invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in the world.

Pope Francis invited everyone present at the audience to invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, and Myanmar. He also asked for special prayers for young people, the sick, elderly, and newlyweds present at the audience before giving his Apostolic Blessing.

Before leaving the audience hall, Pope Francis urged everyone to pray the Rosary throughout the month of May as a way of seeking God’s guidance and protection in our lives.
