In January 2024, Samsung launched an artificial intelligence assistant called Galaxy AI to enhance everyday tasks through technology. This update will be available on March 28 alongside the One UI 6.1 software update for several Samsung smartphone models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Galaxy AI aims to streamline and improve users’ mobile experience by providing new features such as simultaneous call translation, an interpreter function for real-time translations in 13 languages, writing assistants and wizards, photo editing tools for easier image manipulation, search enhancements with Circle to search with Google, and a transcription assistant for converting audio into text.
Samsung’s Senior Vice President of Mobile Experience for Latin America, Antonio Quintas expressed that this update brings a new era of mobile artificial intelligence that empowers users to explore the endless possibilities of this technology. The goal is to democratize access to artificial intelligence features for a broader audience so users can leverage innovative tools and capabilities. With these features in place, Samsung is setting itself apart as a leader in the field of mobile AI.
