Whitefish Lake Institute hosts insightful ‘Science Quencher’ dialogues

On April 26, from 5-7 p.m., the Whitefish Lake Institute will be hosting an engaging event called Science Quencher at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. This event will bring together local scientists to discuss topics such as fish, sheep, owls and rivers. It is an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect with experts in the field of natural resources and conservation.

The presentations at Science Quencher will include Sam Bourret, a fisheries biologist with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Carol Treadwell, finance and grants manager for Whitefish Lake Institute and chief wool handler at Steitzhof Merinos; Denver Holt, founder and president of The Owl Research Institute; and Dakota Whitman, a fluvial geomorphologist with River Design Group. These passionate presenters will share their knowledge and educate the audience on various environmental issues.

Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute, explains that Science Quencher is a fun local gathering where attendees can learn something new from experts in their fields. The presentations will be in a “lightning round” format, with each speaker given 10-15 minutes to present followed by a question and answer session.

This event promises to be both informative and entertaining, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to engage with local scientists and learn more about the natural world around us. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!
