For the third time in four years, Tom Stoltman has been crowned the World’s Strongest Man. The massive Scot outperformed Canada’s Mitchell Hooper and the United States’ Evan Singleton to claim the title. Stoltman carried a three-point lead into Saturday and extended his advantage, finishing third in the Conan’s Wheel (777 degrees, eight points), tied for second in the Terrain Deadlift (8.5 points reps), and first in the Atlas Stones (five stones in 38.14 seconds, 10 points). He has now finished either first or second in the past five World’s Strongest Man competitions.
In this year’s competition, Stoltman faced stiff competition from Hooper, who won last year’s competition and has also won the last two Arnold Strongman Classics. However, Hooper was unable to maintain his momentum on Saturday and lost ground on Stoltman during several events. On Sunday, he failed to score more than five points in any of the three events and finished just below Ragg for third place.
Singleton had a difficult day on Sunday, failing to score more than five points in any of the three events. Despite this setback, he managed to finish just above Ragg for third place. Ragg had a fantastic day on Sunday, with the best score on the Terrain Deadlift (eight reps) and solid performances in other events as well.
Stoltman’s dominance throughout this year’s competition is a testament to his strength and skill as a competitor. With his win at World’s Strongest Man 2021, he solidifies his position as one of the strongest men in the world today.
