Sharon visited Choctaw Nation Headquarters thirteen years ago, searching for job opportunities. Although she owned a family business with her husband, Sharon never gave up on her dream of serving her tribe. Eventually, she landed a job in the Finance Division, thanks to Connie Zalenski who gave her the opportunity and encouragement.

Throughout her time at Choctaw Nation, Sharon’s role has evolved. She now works in tribal advocacy and helps Choctaw tribal members find employment, educational resources, training, mock interviews and interview attire through her job in the Recruitment Department. Sharon finds fulfillment in helping individuals realize their dreams of working for the tribe.

Sharon believes that there is an abundance of resources available to Choctaw Nation members and encourages them not to underestimate their abilities. She emphasizes the support system in place to help individuals succeed and achieve their goals within the tribe. Sharon’s passion for tribal advocacy shines through her work as she remains dedicated to empowering Choctaw tribal members to reach their full potential.
