Simon Acumen, a brand new imprint of Simon Element, is now launching.

Simon Acumen, a new business imprint led by Richard Rhorer and Stephanie Hitchcock, has been introduced by Simon Element. The goal of the imprint is to help readers navigate the ever-changing world of work. Kimberly Meilun has also joined as an editor from Hachette Book Group’s PublicAffairs imprint.

The imprint aims to publish 15-20 books annually, featuring books by thought leaders, innovators, academics, journalists, and others who blend theory and practice to offer fresh insights and practical advice for readers pursuing their professional goals. The debut title for Simon Acumen is Cryptomania by Andrew Chow, a tech reporter for Time, set for release on August 6. Other upcoming titles include works by authors such as Wharton professor Matthew Bidwell, Pam Manfredo Curtis, John Richardson, Attia Qureshi, Dartmouth professor Gail Ayala Taylor, and Jamie Trull.

Simon & Schuster’s president and CEO, Jonathan Karp, expressed enthusiasm for the imprint and stated the company’s commitment to being a leader in the business book category. Richard Rhorer emphasized that this is an opportune time to launch a business-focused imprint given the rapid technological advancements and cultural shifts influencing the way we work. Readers are seeking guidance to achieve success and purpose in their professional lives, making the launch of Simon Acumen timely and relevant.
