Johnson City’s softball team defeated Susquehanna Valley with a 6-5 win in a matchup of STAC division leaders, improving their record to 12-1. The winning run came from Cris Charpinsky’s two-out double, scoring two runs and securing the victory for the Wildcats. In another game, Union-Endicott’s softball team improved to a 13-0 record with an extra-inning win over Seton Catholic Central. The Tigers were behind 3-0 but managed to tie the game with three runs in the fifth inning, ultimately winning 4-3 in the ninth. The winning run came from Lisa Jones’ sacrifice fly, scoring Lisa Lamey who had advanced to third on Michelle Wolf’s bunt for a single. At that point, the team’s collective batting average was .344, with Caren Osier leading the team with a .529 average.
