At 12:11 a.m., a man was fatally stabbed at Pyrates Sports Bar in Spring Lake, Cumberland County. The incident prompted the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office to respond to the scene at 651 W. Manchester Road.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a man who had been stabbed and quickly transported him to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. However, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have identified the offender responsible for the stabbing, who is currently cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The sheriff’s office has launched a homicide investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
