A Tennessee driver accidentally crashed her car into Wytheville’s Waffle House on Wednesday morning, though fortunately no one was hurt in the incident. This marks the third time in recent years that a vehicle has collided with a business in the town. The driver, 61-year-old Robin Noe from Kingsport, Tennessee, explained that her foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator as she was attempting to park in front of the Waffle House, leading to the crash through the glass and into the building.
Robin Noe’s accident happened at around 3:47 a.m., and police were called to investigate. However, upon investigation, they found no evidence of driver impairment and did not press charges, considering it a private property incident that would be settled by insurance companies. As for previous incidents involving similar crashes in Wytheville’s Dollar Tree store and another Waffle House location in 2023, both resulted in injuries but no fatalities. Despite these occurrences, efforts are being made to ensure public safety and prevent similar accidents from happening again.
