Cowgirls Earn Spot in UTR Sports NIT Tournament for Another Year

Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team is heading to postseason play for the second year in a row. The Cowgirls will be competing in the UTR NIT tournament, which takes place from May 5-8 in Bradenton, Florida. The full bracket for the tournament will be announced at a later date.

The Cowgirls had a successful season with a 16-10 record, finishing third in the Mountain West Conference with a 7-3 record. Three Cowgirls received All-Mountain West honors, with Noesjka Brink and Sophie Zehender making the All-Singles Team and Violetta Borodina and Zehender making the All-Doubles Team.

This year, Wyoming will be competing against teams like Colorado, West Virginia, Tulsa, Liberty, Appalachian State, Pacific, and Saint Mary’s in the tournament. Fans can watch all the matches of the tournament on Amazon Prime Video. Last season, the Cowgirls finished with a 2-1 record in the inaugural NIT tournament.
