Criminal investigation launched for traffic disruption on Yerevan-Yeraskh road due to burning tires

On April 24, criminal proceedings were initiated against unidentified individuals who disrupted traffic on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway by setting up burning tires in the Masisi section. The incident occurred at a specific time of 4:25 p.m. According to reports from the Investigative Committee, the proceedings were initiated under the category of group hooliganism (Article 297, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code).

The committee revealed that three cars, including Ford Tranzit, BMW X5, and Mercedes Benz, were moved to the lanes of the Yerevan-Yeraskh interstate highway. The tires were then set on fire on one side towards Yeraskh and on the other side towards Yerevan, causing a disruption in traffic for a certain period of time.

The police have been instructed to investigate and identify those responsible for this act, locate them and present them to the appropriate authorities for further action in legal proceedings. The deliberate disruption of traffic with burning tires on a busy highway highlights the seriousness of the offense and the need for swift action to bring those responsible to justice.
