Hampden Charter School of Science East girls continue their undefeated streak and more

The Hampden Charter School of Science East girls’ tennis team emerged victorious over Frontier on Tuesday, winning five sets despite losing two of the final three matches. Iyanla Lewis and Tiffany Munga secured victories in the singles matchups, giving their team an early lead. Thanushi Ratnatuge of Frontier kept the Red Hawks in the game with a win in the final singles matchup.

In the doubles matches, Esther Ehle and Kayla Fagan secured a victory for Hampden Charter School of Science East, but it was the first doubles team of Jasmine Ortega and Saryah Brantley that sealed the victory for the home team. This win marked only the fourth combined set loss for Hampden Charter School of Science East this season, as they maintained an undefeated record at 5-0.

On Wednesday, Frontier will face Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School on the road as they look to bounce back from their loss to Hampden Charter School of Science East.
