Windows 11 version 24H2 to no longer include Microsoft WordPad

Microsoft has announced that it will remove its WordPad text tool from the next version of its Windows 11 operating system, as well as from the Windows Server 2025 server platform. The company advised users to use Memo Pad for plain text documents and Microsoft Word for rich text documents (.doc and .rtf) when announcing the end of WordPad in September.
